White Fillings
White fillings (aka White Restorations) provide new ways to create a more pleasing, natural-looking smile. Because they blend well with tooth enamel and don’t look like regular fillings, they are preferred for esthetic reasons.

Having a cavity doesn’t have to mean having a mouth full of metal. New tooth-colored “white fillings” are more durable and far more aesthetically pleasing than the old choice, silver amalgam. We can match the color of the filling with your natural tooth color, making the dental work virtually undetectable. Not only can we fill new cavities with white fillings but, we can also replace your old metal fillings with the newer, stronger and, more attractive white filling.

The bonding procedure is usually completed in one visit. The first step is to remove the decayed or unsightly portion of the tooth. The tooth is then etched with a liquid or gel and a bonding agent is then applied. This will allow the composite resin to be placed in the prepared tooth. The resin is then trimmed and polished, leaving you with a beautifully sculpted, natural-looking restoration. There are no restrictions on eating or drinking after the filling.
